paul, thanks for the skyspy capture. that shows 01:01 messages of length 48 that do not show up in any other capture.
the interceptor driver now automatically uses a valid station serial (numbers that start with 7f ff) from the gateway if the gateway sends a 01:14 of 4f:10 message. this is used in the 14:01 and 14:00 responses. so as long as the gateway has a valid serial and sends a 01:14 or 4f:10, you should not have to specify a serial on the weewx config. i'm not sure how the registration process works. kennkong describes the process, but since i do not have the hardware i have not been able to verify his description. skyspy does not deal with registration. the most important thing is to figure out how to get the station to emit 01:01 current data at a specified interval, and how to get the gateway to emit 00:70 packets at a specified interval. i think there are a few intervals involved here: ping_interval - how often the gateway sends 00:70 messages sensor_interval - how often the station sends current data history_interval - how often the station records archive records but none of kennkong, lowerpower, or skyspy is very clear about these. m -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
