Andrew is right, the logs are your friend. you might find it useful to run 
with debug=1 so you get a bit more details about what (well how many) files 
are being generated. Are you ftp'ing or rsync'ing to a remote web server or 
hosting locally, if remote it might be worth seeing what is being 
ftp'd/rsync'd. If it happens relatively frequently you might need to spend 
a bith of time in front of a terminal listing the contents of public_html 
(or wherever) on your weeWX machine to see what is being generated after 
each cycle.

Unless you are pushing the bounds and your reports are taking nearly as 
long to process as your archive period it is unlikely the length of your 
archive period is the issue. Perusing your logs and looking at the typical 
time taken to generate (and ftp/rsync) all reports/images will give you a 
feel for whether this may be a problem.

Be interesting if it is a browser caching issue, seems odd though, as there 
appears to have been a number of these issues recently.
