Gary, Vince, and Glenn. So far I upgraded Weewx to 3.8.2, and removed the [Engine] entries for user.alarm.Myalarm and user.rtgd.RealtimeGaugeData as suggested by Gary. I also did updates and upgrades to the RPi running Weewx.
I am now letting pmon run and and will watch it over the next several day. Not sure if it is relevant but I should add that my archive interval is 2 minutes, and when I have Steel Gauges running my update time is 2 seconds (the loop time from my Ultimeter).
