I really don't think this is an issue with any cron jobs, certainly not a backup script that runs independently of WeeWX at 2359 daily. I guess we have tried winding back the services being run so that it was easier to re-enable them later but the issue has remained. I think the next step will be to go back to a plain vanilla install and work our way up from a known good install.
But first, I don't seem to be able to find a weewx.conf anywhere from you Steve. Could you post a sanitised weewx,conf, with disabled services is fine?
