Hi all. I'm trying to validate an high wind speed gust registered by one station. Reading the weewx database I noticed that there are values of "windgust" repeated.
I have the Davis datalogger configured to store data every 5 minutes. Weewx does not have any configuration about "windgust" in the "calculate" section. I thought that the windgust is the maximum wind speed registered within the 5 minutes. But how is possible that it is repeated. So I checked also at the weather station that I have at home and...same issue. Is there someone that can explain this ? It seems that the 5 minutes registered in the weewx is not syncronous to the 5 minutes of the Davis recording Can I consider the data of the "windgust" valid?
