All right, installed the latest dev version of New Belchertown, and things 
are running fine.  Set the archive interval back to 1 minute, took the VM 
back down to 2 cores and 8 GB of RAM, and it's been running well 
overnight.  systemctl status reports max RAM usage of about 200 MB, much 
better than multiple GB.

Now running into a different bug with the 
skin: https://github.com/uajqq/weewx-belchertown-new/issues/276
But definitely a much smaller issue.
