I go to shows by myself because I am so busy coordinating my schedule
with the show schedule that I don't have time to coordinate my plans
with other people, other than a casual, I'm planning to see this
show, want to go?  Maybe it can be called anti-social, but it is less
anti-social than staying home alone renting a movie, IMO. I don't
want to be fuming that I missed a 1-time chance to see something
because no one wanted to go.  I try not to go to shows by myself on
Sat. nights, because that's just depressing, but during the week or
matinees, who cares?  It's not like your going to talk much anyway.
Between end of March and beginning of July I will have seen Spamalot,
this violin concert, Champions on Ice, 5 Boston Pops concerts, and a
1-man show about Frederic Chopin, with the same guy who did Gershwin
Alone.  The Pops concerts are all in June, once a week for 5 weeks.
The majority of these are by myself, although some are not.
