My parents are big classical music fans also. For the first 10 years of
my life I thought that was all that was on the radio.  People would ask
me what radio station I listed to and I had no idea.  I don't like
classical orchestral music so much, but I love the Pops.  But a whole
concert of just 2 violins sounded so unusual that I wanted to check it
out.  I can't differentiate pieces by title, so I wouldn't know what to
expect just from the program if I went to a concert unless I was really
familiar with something, like the Four Seasons. I will go out of my way
to hear Four Seasons or Watermusic or something really familiar like
that.
