At first I thought you meant Indian as in Native people, but then I 
realized in Canada they don't call the native people Indians, they 
call them Native people or First Nations people or something, not 
sure if there is a generic term. (Is there one?) I hate calling 
Native Americans Indians.  It's so confusing, not to mention 
insulting, I would think.  I think it is more insulting than calling 
them redskins.  Black people call themselves Black people, what's 
wrong with redskins?  I know it has negative connotation, but there 
are a lot worse things you could call them, I'm guessing.  I realize 
there is a possibility that I am opening a can of worms here, but to 
be honest I here more white people complaining about "Redskins" 
or "Braves" or whatever than actual native Americans.  And anyway, 
isn't Braves much less offensive than Redskins?  My 2c.
