An Italian woman who told a road crash victim's family
she had dreamt about the accident, has been charged
by police who say she knows too many details. The
40-year-old housewife turned up on Alfredo Baldeschi's
doorstep and gave him a vivid description of the accident
which killed his sister Loredana Baldeschi. He told
police about the encounter and they advised him to
ask her to go through the "dream" again and secretly
record her. After listening to the tape, police arrested
the woman and, after questioning her, charged her
because she knew details of the crash known only to
investigators at Latina, south of Rome.
Police forced a Dutch thief to vomit so they could recover
two stolen gold rings he had swallowed. The 27-year-old
has been charged with robbing them from a shop in
Zwolle. The shopkeeper there was threatened with
an axe. Police arrested him but could find no trace of
the rings so they had him x-rayed.
A religious Arizona woman kept the body of her dead
husband for weeks as friends prayed he would be
brought back to life. Police are trying to find out how
long James Killeen had been dead. They have ruled
out foul play. His wife had refused to let family or friends
speak with him since before Christmas. Killeen's
brother and colleague, Christopher, asked police to
check on him after he failed to report to work. Police
said when the officers arrived at the house, incense
and decomposing flesh could be smelled from the
street. Killeen, 50, was found badly decomposed and
wrapped in blankets in his bedroom with an open
Bible and religious music playing in the house.
