Hello OpenWengo develppers and users!
I'm the person who will coordinate openwengo development at MBDSYS
I'd like to thank Wengo for all the efforts they've done to develop
OpenWengo project and
for the confidence in our ability to keep the project striving.
Here is our very short term plan:
1) We're working to switch openwengo repository to use mercurial dvcs
(http://www.selenic.com/mercurial)
When we'll finish (hopefully this week) i'll publish the new
repository URL
2) The repository with full history us very big (700MB) so we'd like to
split it to subprojects
we'd be happy to see proposals for the new structure
You you develop software based on WengoPhone please advice us which
branches of the repo you are using,
so we don't screw your work:
For the moment the plan is to publish trunk, wengophone-2.1 branch
wengophone 2.2 branch
3) Once we decide on subsystem structure we'll need volunteers to assume
subsystem maintainership - so please post
your candidatures
4) We need to choose new project name due trade-marking issues so
please send your proposals and we're going to
organize some kind of poll
5) For the moment courtesy of Wengo the SVN repos and mailing list are
operational when we choose new name
we'll create a new mailing list for it
6) Users of paying accounts don't need to worry Wengo is keeping the
servers operational (Thanks Wengo!!!)
Thanks
Vadim Lebedev
