Follow-up Comment #4, bug #11156 (project wesnoth):
IMO 'the not able to save' error should be shown every time, if eg. you're on
a network filesystem with a flaky connection it might happen every now and
then in which case you want to know which savegame failed.
There's an option in preferences to disable 'compressed saves' which might
solve the savegame problem.
The other option is when you start/load a game type :nosaves which disables
autosaves. We don't want to make that available in the preferences, when we
have a bug report we often need an autosave in order to reproduce it. So
adding this option, can make debugging harder.
@cycholka would it make sense to make this Vista limited account info a
sticky on the forum? I expect quite some people asking this question on the
forum. Also if this zlib compression is a problem MP also won't work.
