Follow-up Comment #4, patch #1032 (project wesnoth):
Ok, regarding when to trigger victory/defeat events: if the client is
controlling a side that is given victory, then victory events should trigger
on that client. If the client is controlling a side that is given defeat,
then defeat events should trigger on that client. Naturally the client may be
controlling both a victorious and defeated side, in which case they'd both
trigger (victory events first, then defeat events?).
Of course we then need to document this in the wiki and add mention that in
MP campaigns you should only use victory and defeat events to display
messages and other UI stuff only in order to prevent OOS.
I'd suggest listening to what the MP campaign people (like rhuvaen and
mythological) would prefer before implementing this, though.
