Follow-up Comment #14, bug #18025 (project wesnoth):
Ok, guys, I realize this is bad practice. I should not be serial-posting, but
while not a computer analphabet, I'm not an experienced tester/debugger and
I'm also not into Mac App developement, so ideas just come up with time...
usually _after_ I have submitted.
So, basically, the launchd permission denied came from the fact, that in the
1.0.2 version for
wesnoth_umc.app/Contents/MacOS/wesnoth_umc
the posix executable flag was NOT set! In 1.0.0 it was set. This might be due
to some compilation option?
Furthermore, fixing that manually, I did not get farther than the
splash-screen either, *but* I got a meaningful message as opposed to 1.0.0 (a
popup message from Wesnoth_umc):
*An error has occurred.*
See the log file
/Applications/Eclipses/wesnoth_umc_1.0.2/configuration/1303543203167.log.
As the file is under 5000 bytes, I'm attaching it directly. I hope you can
solve the problem with its help. (But please, also fix the "executable flag
not set" problem, which is, from a standard Mac users perspective, burried in
the deep guts of the program: Mac presents .app folders as "files" to the
average mortals...)
