Follow-up Comment #5, patch #3092 (project wesnoth):
Here's the newest (and hopefully final) version of the patch.
As requested by Ivanovic, packagers can set the location of the preferences
file in compile time, and the binary won't try to load default preferences if
a file wasn't specified in compile time.
