Actually, one alternate idea for the great mage would be:
a] a boost of one MP, to get the magic number 6 (two 3mp terrains/turn)
b] gradual increases to its magic resistances; perhaps 10% per AMLA.

Wasn't there also a dependency hierachie implemented for AMLA?
