For starters, I suppose everyone is actually talking of 1.4, not 1.3.4... ;)

Here's a list of major issues that I find should be fixed for the next stable, 
in a rough order of importance. These are the kind of issues for any of which I 
think it'd be worth it to delay the release a week or two or a few, if 
necessary. Most of these are to my best knowledge already being worked on.

Is there anything else of similar significance I've missed?
    
* Linger mode and autosave/replay saving behaviour.
  - linger mode should have visual cues (graying out the map, for example) and 
how to advance to the next scenario should also be made obvious.
  - the better controls for how autosaves work and how beginning-of-scenario 
saves and replays are saved.

* The map border
  - should be possible to paint arbitrary hexes containing normal terrain as 
impassable in the same visual style as the map borders. Or any other equally 
good-looking solution.
  
* Random in MP
  - Mordante already mentioned this.
    
* TC/biggerism project (possibly excluding the drake redo).
  - basically only mermen and naga seem to be left, and some 
individual/campaign units. Not really a blocker issue as such, but would be 
very nice to get things finally finished, especially when there's so relatively 
little left.
