I'm already somewhat familiar with SCons now. I started using it for new (smaller) projects, mostly c++ plus some code generation during the build. A big pro for SCons is that many people seem to be learning it these days. So far it has worked like a charm and given me the feeling that I'm in control of the build. However I have not yet tried a 'make install' replacement (which is said to be somewhat low-level) or cross-compiling. I didn't know Waf until now. It seems to address some real problems of SCons (thinking time and 'make install') but the list of projects using it is not (yet?) very impressive. I was running away from CMake when I first saw it for the same reasons already mentioned on this list. Also, as a Python fan I'm a bit biased. bye, Martin (aka maxy) _______________________________________________ Wesnoth-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-dev
