The things that strikes me about this is: what do Wesnoth as a project gain?

People work on stuff that is fun anyway, for free.

The only thing money can be an incentive for that the multitude of other
reasons to participate in a floss projects usually don't encourage are
those very difficult and tedious tasks that tend to pile up that no one
wants to touch.

I would much rather we define those tasks and try to get some talented
people paid to get them done.

thanks,
Hogne
