Dear Colleagues thank you for mourning our own. It is in such moments that you
know true friends. Those who have been believing everything can now see for
themselves. This great citizen of this country, who kept Education of this
country during the dark times of this country alight SURELY DESERVED at least a
mention in the National media. MAY HIS SOUL TRULY REST IN ETERNAL PEACE WITH
THE ONE WHO IS JUST.Let us keep together, the only comfort.

Dear Colleagues

Indeed I heard in Arua at the weekend of the passing of this giant of West Nile
on FM radio, but was surprised it got no newspaper coverage.

We thank God for the long, rich, honest and humble life of Brig. Barnabas Kili.
I recall during the 1980s seeing his bent form riding his bicycle through
Ombaci on his way to or from Arua town. We certainly derive pride from his life
and good works.

May the Lord rest his soul in eternal peace.

Patrick

I had the rear opportunity and honor of meeting the Brigadier and Minister Kili
in person and truly believe that he was one of the most honorable and
principled people one can ever meet. I can equivocally say that his reign as
the minister of education during the dark and hard times of the Amin error was
impeccable and goes above and beyond ordinary call of duty.

My condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace.

Dear All
I got a message from Ambassador Harold Acemah over the weekend mentioning that
Brig Barnabas Kili (former Minister of Education in the Idi Amin regime) died
on July 6 and was buried in Wandi on July 9. I looked for details on this in
the Ugandan newspapers in vain. Yet he was one of the few upright people and a
senior citizen who always made us the west nilers proud with his sense of
honesty, responsability etc.
May the Lord rest his soul in eternal peace, and may God strengthen his family
with strong faith. Barnabas finished his race on earth as one who was grateful
to God. Lets put God at the centre of our lives
