Hi Michael,

We had the same problem with http ftp and smtp services that often WUG said
they are down when they were actually working fine. We played with the
polling frequency and also the default timeout, and the problem was solved.

Hello Forum,

One of my friends emailed me the following question:

...there are times when whatsup reports services and/or devices down when
they are actually not...i've talked to ipswitch
support and they give me the same answer...either i'm polling too many
things at one time or they tell me to change the polling
frequency....neither has eliminated the problem...

I don't have the problem reported above.  Anyone have any comments or
suggestions?
