It is a Domain Account you need not local accounts on each server. WUG only
needs to be on one server. Look at page 95 in the docs it will explain
everything.

Basically you monitor for whatever is important to you, like event 1000
(save dumps).

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG 8.0 Eval - Monitor Events

Hi All,
I am currently evaluating WUG 8.0. Most everything is working ok. I am
running WUG on a W2k Server that acts as a Domain Controller in a
Development Only Domain. I can get the Monitor Events to work on the local
server when the WUG Windows Events Service is running Logged on to the
Local System Account.

Here is where I start trying different things...
I cannot get this server to monitor the Windows Events of other Servers.
What do I need to do make this happen?? Do both boxes need the WUG Windows
Events Server running??? I tried to setup a user on both boxes called
WUGAdmin with local admin rights.

Also.. If you had a "Standard" setup to monitor Windows Events on all of
your windows servers, What would monitor for???

Thanks
Steve Murphy
