I do have two WUG machines that look at each other (http).
My operator issue is getting them to look at the Web page.

I agree, the product in my years has been rock-solid, but I'm getting the odd operator issue, "oh really... WUG needs to be running huh?" and no matter how much I beat them, they're still human.Richard -----Original Message----- From: Anthony Valuikas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, 1 February 2003 12:32 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Clustering WhatsUp Servers Well in the 8 years or so that I have been using the WhatsUp! or WhatsUp! Gold products I have not had that problem or even worried about it. So I really couldn't say what to do. I do the regular cover SMTP with TAP but for the most part my install and the product for that matter has proven to be bullet proof. If you are on a WAN you could find someone else with a WUG install and ask them to check your system by HTTP. I guess between my APC's, Lieberts, NetBotz, etc I would have something that could get through to inform me of a major datacenter problem. Can I ask what you are doing to figure out if WUG is stopped, I know you'll have the other cluster starting in your case, but what if both stop, do you have any outside of WUG alerts to say that WUG is not checking? I'm thinking of a basic VB script to email/page me, or even the old free (v4?) WUG that just keeps an eye on WUG... where do we draw the line, maybe 2 or 3 WUG instances checking each other I joke?? I still have a few little items I can't seem to get to work in registry replication but I am living with it. I have a very high end WUG environment. 11 regions (time zones) and over 125+ offices. I'll answer anything I can. Tv -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Cameron, Rodney J.
