Thanks.... Well along Jim's suggestion, I've opted to ping the WUG server from our server housed in a data center! I'm using 32Bit Service Monitor www.electrasoft.com (free for 1 Monitor) and seems a little more light weight than the suggestions from Jim! I do have to configure it with Srvany.exe (nt4 resource kit tool, run an app as a service). Thanks. Dan Foxley
