Well along Jim's suggestion, I've opted to ping the WUG server from our
server housed in a data center!  I'm using 32Bit Service Monitor
www.electrasoft.com (free for 1 Monitor) and seems a little more light
weight than the suggestions from Jim!  I do have to configure it with
Srvany.exe (nt4 resource kit tool, run an app as a service).  Thanks. Dan

You could use another product to monitor WUG.

The LAN with the WUG server has gone down a couple of times (DSL
connection)!  What are some simple solutions for Pinging, 
etc.. the Wug server from a remote location?
