When you say "the machine must be upgraded' exactly what do you mean. The
existing WUG server is a Windows 2000 server, which I will not be upgrading and
advice from Ipswitch is that WUG Pro is not an upgrade but a full version.

Hi WUG'ers

Finally got my WUG Pro activated and is up, however,
now I need to somehow import my 175 devices from 15 different maps. Is this
possible? If so how.

Appreciate any advice

Here's the way that login works.

Passwords are stored encrypted.
When you log in the stored password has to be decrypted and compared with what
you just submitted. This decryption is done on the WhatsUp Professional PC The
decryption is not proprietary.. it is performed via a call to a system
resource.

Now that is what is failing.. the call to something that already exists on
your system. Or, in your case, something that does not exist.

Therefore, can I ask what OS and Service Pack you are running? What language?
What version of IE? What hotfixes applied?

Hi, I just installed WUP ("Evaluation version" - because I want to test it
before I go to the real environment).

My problem is when I try to log into the web access. I read in the help file
that the username/password for the administrator is "admin/admin" but it says
"Failed to decrypt password". I also tried without password but it still
doesn't work.

I also read that the user/pass for the guest account is "guest/guest" but that
combination doesn't work either but I can log in if I type "guest" without
password. The problem, like you should know, is that I don't have the right to
configure WUP via the web access.

I didn't see any place in the console environment where you can configure users
for the web site like we did in the last version of What's Up.

Thank you in advance.
