Regarding the memory leak. If you are running Windows Server 2003 with
Service Pack 1, this is a known issue: the leak is in RPC when WMI is
used on a remote machine. We are working with Microsoft to resolve this
issue, and are hoping for a hotfix or workaround from them.

I just hope there are no new features. My server has to be rebooted
weekly because of a memory leak in their code. I have all the latest
patches and it still has the leak.

Performance is really good....for the first day. After that it's all
downhill until the next reboot. Maybe they will add an automatic reboot
to the system.

Come on guys, companies change and evolve. Ipswitch is a sizable
company and it takes time to recover after some poor decisions.

If you decide to move on, I think you should continue to watch them as
I've been privy to the next version of WhatsUp Pro and am optimistic
that some nice improvements are coming.

I have the same issue and have decided to also look elsewhere.

WUG is not dead, just Ipswich's sanity is died. They have chosen to
stop listing to most of their diehard customers. I have to rewrite all
of my custom pages and scripts to convert to their new product, so it is
a good time for me to look at other software.

I notice VERY little activity on this forum any longer.

Is WUG a dead product?
