Perhaps a list of compliancy on our website (in the documentation, etc) regarding the servlet spec? Or should we strive to be independent?

Servlet containers supporting 2.4 are Jetty 5.x, Tomcat 5.5, Resin 3.x, thus only the newer ones. I think we should at least have a workaround available for all developers working on 2.3 compliant servers.
