Hi, all

In addition to concerns about the copyright policy on the UNV site, I am also
concerned about their privacy policy, especially this statement:

"UNV may disclose such information, ..., if requested to do so by UNV’s
internal governing and
oversight bodies, including Member States,..."

Subject: Re: [WikiEducator] Using UNV Online Volunteering

Hi Randy, Phil

I think UNV is a great concept and also thank everyone for thinking about
creative ways in serving the WikiEducator mission :-)

I am however, a little concerned about the Copyright statement on the UNV site,
see:

http://www.onlinevolunteering.org/en/vol/copyright.html

I see that any information we submit to the UNV site will become all rights
reserved to the UN. Technically we can't do this as it is a against the core
values of the WikiEducator family.

I can of course approach the UNV administrators on behalf of the OER Foundation
/ WikiEducator for an exception in the case of a WikiEducator produced
appication to license the information we create under our default open content
licenses. Should be an interesting test case :-).

Thoughts?

Cheers
Wayne
