Hi Jan,

Good advice to post rationales on the site in cases where we need to explain
our position on these issues.

As you know -- we respect freedom of choice regarding the software
WikiEducators use to produce content.  However, at the same time we do not
want to restrict any educator from participating in our project who for
whatever reason may not be able to acquire a license to use non-free
software or alternatively choose to use free software as a matter of choice.
We're not against the right of individuals to earn a living and therefore
have no problem with using branded equipment - hence our resistance to the
non-commercial license restriction ;-)

That said when it comes to ancillary activities --- these are not cut-&-dry
choices.

Keep the posts and ideas following -- much appreciated.
