I agree with this approach. A $10 membership fee should be more than enough to cover the costs of administering memberships, including reminder mailings at the end of a year. I expect that when we are able to receive tax-creditable donations, membership fees will only be a tiny segment of our revenue. The most significant reason for charging membership fees at all is for keeping track of members.
