If you use the currently available templates to format your citation then its possible to extract this information with a bot, the next step is how to use that to create a wikidata item... nothing onerous in using citation templates on WP. as for book older books dont have ISBNs, and some books are individually notable yet assuming they have an ISBN they share that with the 1,000's of of identical books that arent notable.
