Back when those discussion were hot, we were able to convince CC to add the "Approved for Free Cultural Works" stamp you see on license pages like this one, to set them apart more clearly: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ It would be nice to see CC take a more active stance in at least discouraging the use of NC in circumstances where it's not appropriate (it's possible I've missed some work by CC to that effect).
