We exist because people care about knowledge in an encyclopedic form. Wikipedia was the cool new thing 20 years ago, now no longer, with so many other options to consume people’s time. You can contribute video to tiktox or YouTube. Text on twitter. Or answer questions on reddit. Wikipedia is difficult to contribute to in major languages, with most of the difficulty being cultural not technical.
I imagine our ability to fundraise will soon fall and paid folks will need to be reduced. Yes tough times ahead. Not sure we can reverse the fall in traffic and editor numbers. Ie drastic measures for drastic measures sake will not solve this.
