Re Ghost - I posted some rants about the effect of installing that on my system
-
and Symantec's response that
If, I didn't want the periodic reads of over 600,000,000 bytes ( at startup and
periodically during the day)
Then I would need to uninstall Ghost 9,
reinstalling it to take backups, and then uninstalling it after the backup.
And - that NSW 2005 was not supported on multi-boot/multi-OS systems, even if
the alternative OS instances were not used.
(Recovery Console being a multi-boot facility)

(And that's without Kaspersky)

It appears that the conflict is between you wanting to use the PC, and having
Ghost 9 installed.

You been warned
