This is just wrong. As I've explained, there is NO memory in Pegasus of
which identity was used to select the particular POP server that was used
to fetch a particular message; there is *NO* identity associated with an
incoming message, period. A message that is sent, *REGARDLESS* of
whether it is a new-message or a reply, will be sent using the SMTP
server set up with the identity associated with *that*message* [which you
can check by hitting F9]. The F9-identity is the *ONLY* one that affects
what SMTP server is used for a particular message: not the <Default>
identity, not the identity you see in the toolbar, not the one that
happens to be selected when you actually upload the message... ONLY the
one actually associated with the message.

That said, there are a bunch of ways of associating an identity with a
message: when you first create a message [either new or a reply] the
"starting" identity for the message is the one currently in the toolbar.
For a reply, you can change this in the reply-dialogue box. For *ANY*
message [reply or new] you can change this by going to the "special" tab
[or hit F9] and changing it there.
