When I opened the message, I found that Bernie Cosell had written:

It seems all of us are somewhat correct and all of us are somewhat wrong
<smile>.

The end result of how I said it worked were correct, but how it got there may
not be the path I understood.

Here is what a Pegasus expert wrote:

"When you start a reply or a new message, Pegasus Mail for Windows will use the
settings from the identity selected in the drop-down box, **or the identity
specified in the reply-options window.**

"Once it created the message it stays that way, undependent of what you do in
the drop down box. When you want to change the id of the already created
message, you need to do so in the special F9 pane of the message."

**or the identity specified in the reply-options window.** I take this to
mean the reply-to address you configured within the particular identity.

If so, it doesn't matter which identity you are using when you reply, Pegasus
will use the configured reply-to address when determining how to send it.

Make any sense?

Again, I'm not using my identity associated with garlic.com, but rather my
identity in softhome to send this.

If it posts, then you know Pegasus will have used the reply-to association
of the message I received from the list...........which is garlic.com, my
default identity.

Regards,

Jim
