What's amiss? There is essentially *NO* mapping between pop mailboxes and identity/accounts for folk with any but the most simple email setups. So why should the email client be hardwired to make shot-in-the-dark guesses that'll likely be wrong [again, except for folk with the very simplest of email setups]. Perhaps you have a different slice on the user community, but virtually everybody I know [even folk who have hardly a clue about how email works at all], have many-to-one email setups [that is, where many email addresses converge on a single POP box]. For folk with that situation, having their email client guess about an identity to use is basically useless. For someone like me, with a complicated many-to-many email setup, having the email client trying to guess something like that is not even a feeble joke... /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME list is hosted on a Windows 2000(TM) machine running L-Soft international's LISTSERV(R) software.
