Thanks for the thanks, but you may have noticed I have not had time to
participate
in my own question about using Pegasus... (I stopped using it until I get a
chance to
"catch up"...)

I started writing a LONG answer to the other concerns you had on this question,
but noticed there was almost no end to the "what ifs" and conditional replies I
was giving.
I was also trying to get a "good" answer out, but am under pressure to get my
wife's car repaired.
(It had an early timing belt failure and will not run.)

This is as far as I got on the first section and had to give up in the middle
of section two...

I usually follow instructions, unless they do not work.
I know the following things about the program. (See if this "fits" what you are
doing.)

ALL file parts from any full back-up PLUS any added incremental pieces MUST be
"on-line" at once, AND in the SAME directory IF you want to "browse", mount
them,
or (check their integrity?)

"Sometimes" an external HD will not be found when booting totally outside
Windows
since, (if that is done from an Acronis Boot CD), you would be running Linux at
that point
and they don't always get the drivers for the USB drives OR my mouse "correct"
all
the time... It works on some of their builds and not others... It has been
"pretty stable"
in most of the newer builds. Either that, or I have a different mouse and
external HD
that the program "likes" better... Sorry, my hardware changes too, so it is
hard to pin
down what is the actual cause of the problem.

I have NEVER used the Security Zone the way they intended, or for anything more
than "just" loading the program from there to view or test integrity. (Booting
directly
to it from a "cold HD boot"). So I KNOW it is not something you "HAVE" to use
as you
seem to have described above... When booting the program THIS way, (off the HD
from a key-press at the beginning of the boot, I do not know "what" OS it is
running...
(I would assume Linux, but can't be sure...)
(Note this is different from "working on" the security zone from the main
program inside
Windows...

I generally use ONLY the "Acronis Media builder" BOOT CD for backing up AND
restoring...
Any questions about using Acronis in other ways, I might not be able to
answer...

As you may have noticed above, some things can be done in different ways from
different
media and in different OSs... This makes a complete and EXACT question
necessary
of a correct answer...
