Ghost 9 will automatically prep the new 80 HD unit for you. It will format and copy the HD on the fly
in a very easy on screen step by step process. It will copy all of the boot sectors and partitions verbatum
so you won't have to worry about doing and FDISK C: /MBR then XCOPY *.* /r/i/c/h/k/e/y.
Mark, this is a laptop. How is he suppose to get 2 HDs in there ?
What I did when I upgraded my laptop's HD was to run Ghost 8 from XpPe booted CDrom in the laptop then sent the image across the LAN to my desktop machine then I replaced the HD, rebooted the XpPe disk w/ Ghost 8 & restored the image from across the LAN to the new HD.
You could also get from eBay a 3.5" to 2.5" IDE adapter for about $5. Using the adapter you could put the new drive in your desktop machine & clone the drive from your laptop straight to the 80g drive then do the physical replacement last.
