I suspect this isn't news to most of you, but this is the most concrete 
mention of it I've seen:

I note two things:

1) I don't use/want a 'search toolbar' [and still don't understand why 
folk do], and
2) the 'rudimentary' makes it not so attractive: a browser like
Maxthon has a pretty well-done tab setup [and indeed, having now used
it for some time now, I can't *survive* with an untabbed browser any 
more!]
