Just have the task scheduler launch Eudora at 5am & configure Eudora to use your dialup connection <Tools/Options/Internet Dialup> & in there you can tell Eudora to use your dialup whenever it is launched then you can tell Eudora to hangup when it's finished checking & even close Eudora sutomatically afterwards if you want.

I would like Eudora to download my mail at a time I specify. For example, I would like Eudora to download mail at 5:00 AM every morning. How would I do this? I am on dialup so the computer would have to first dial up and then checkmail and finally disconnect.

I suspect I would have to use the task schedular but do not know where to go from there.
