Aloha Jim,
Most sound boards provide an extra 20db of amplification for microphones
(provided that they're plugged into the microphone input jack). Maybe you
need to check to see if that option is selected?
Double-click on the "Volume" icon, in the "Tray," then look for an "Advanced"
button under the 'microphone' controls. On the resulting display look for
something like "Mic Boost (+20db)" and make sure there is a check mark in the
selection 'box,' preceeding it...
That's all I can think of...
