These files aren't on my C: but they are on my E: drive. That drive
was renamed and one at one time or another it was my boot drive.
Where is your Windows folder ? If it's on E: then fine but if it's on C:
then you may be only slightly screwed.
OBTW Bill & Jim, it seems that I'm a victim of my own tweaking. It seems
that I've tweak everything I get my hands on.
Oh well. Here you go boys. Go to [drive]:\Windows\INF folder [normally
hidden] & open sysoc.inf in notepad or some other editor & take out every
instance of the word HIDE or hide or Hide but leave the commas then exit
notepad & save the resulting file. Now reboot your machine & then report
back what you see when you go to Add or Remove Windows Components. I'm
fairly certain that you'll see what I've been saying is true but only if
one edits their sysoc.inf file. ;-)
