Backup AUTOEXEC.BAT??? I saw AUTOEXEC.DOS and AUTOEXEC.NAV but no AUTOEXEC.BAK.
The others do not have the garbage characters. The only reason I fiddled
with AUTOEXEC.BAT was that during boot, the contengs were being displayed
and there were error mesages.
