I knew there was a catch. The el-cheapo DVD-burners aren't
"top of the line". As the old saying goes "You get what you pay for."
To me price is not the only deciding factor for me when I buy any product.
I look at the performance, quality, durability and waranty info first and match
these
against the price in terms of merits on worth.

I never pay much more than that... ($40-US)
It is obviously not a "top of the line" drive,
they generally come with bare bones software (if any),
and lots of times some reviewer somewhere slammed it,
or they made too many and/or newer ones are out,
the list of things that effect supply and demand (and price)
are endless...
