My question is, can I use the Xcopy E: F:\E_stuff
/r/i/c/h/k/e/y to make a copy of E. Then, probably I could burn the DVD
from the copy on F., install SP2 to E, and if all goes well delete
F:\E_stuff. I think this should work, but am wondering if there is enough
free space, and if I can copy from an NTFS partition to a Fat32 partition
with Xcopy.
Sounds like a plan to me & don't worry about how the drive is
formatted as it makes no difference. Xcopy will still function
perfectly. The only time partitioning makes a difference is if you're
using imaging software & you're not so don't worry, be happy.
