If it's a menu, then there must be a qualifying adjective to distinguish it from the taskbar menus and the drop-down menus that you get when you click on a word in a application's taskbar, no?



What you're referring to is a combo box. It has a hidden list of choices with a "dropdown arrow" to the right of the field to open up the list.
