Oh we know why !  Its just that we don't like being spied upon, attacked 
by virus and ridden with malware !!

Ahh but you know what they say....  Keep your friends close, and your 
enemys even closer................!!

Joking apart.  The same spirt that makes this list so useful is the 
reason !  Freedom !!  The freedom to choose to help others where you 
can, the free exchange of ideas,  the freedom to learn.

Just on the note of BBC's we replaced 60 BBC computers in a school a few 
years back.  In order to get the work we had to buy them all, screens, 
drives etc, we paid a £1 each machine for them.  The local authority 
paid for the skip that we dumped them into and for the disposal.  We 
weren't allowed to sell or give them to another school !!!!
