It is hard to beat Agent. I still use Agent 1.9 and they're up to version 3 already, but it is a great newsreader, especially for binaries. > In my experience postings to the binary groups are split into lots of > little postings, so I'd expect there to be programs around that can > ensure all the individual files are downloaded correctly. Agent will automatically join the binaries [and show them as a single "multipost"] and knows about both uuencode *and* yenc, so you can save just about anything without having to think about it. Only other things you'll need for trawling the binaries world is par, par2 and unrar. YOu can get a pretty complete [freeware] package of that stuff at <http://www.techsono.com/weapons/pardecoder.html> /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
