I have several hotmail accounts I still use with OE and the option is still
there to setup Hotmail or MSN Mail within OE (HTTP), so I'm not sure where
you got the information that it no longer works.
I have one @hotmail.com account and one @msn.com account.
Both used to work through OE, but a few months ago the msn.com
account quit working through OE. I complained to Hotmail support,
but they said my grandfathered status had lapsed for that account
because I hadn't checked my mail in over 30 days. I still think it
was some glitch on their end that lost me the OE access, but although
I tried, there was no way I could convince Hotmail support to relent.
I understand that the mail client to be included with Vista won't
access Hotmail accounts at all.
